The mission of Vita Art Center's Teen Program is to connect teenagers to contemporary visual art and artists in Ventura. Our Teen Art Program presents opportunities for young people to meaningfully interact with outstanding local artists from a variety of disciplines. During this in-depth program, students create their own artwork under the support and guidance of professional artists. Students will receive instruction in a variety of mediums.

¥ Students with a strong desire to expand their visual arts knowledge

¥ Students interested in pursuing intensive study in a professional art-school environment

¥ Students ready to prepare competitive materials for visual art college admissions

HOW TO APPLY

¥ One letter of recommendation from an art teacher or guidance counselor

¥ Digital images of 3-5 completed artworks (72 dpi, jpg format)

¥ Students that have taken Art Classes at Vita Art Center need only to contact the Program Director, Mary Perez for acceptance into the program.

¥ Completed Registration Form

¥ Tuition to be paid upon acceptance of teen into the program
