Since 2008 Vita Art Center has brought quality art education, community outreach, and outstanding monthly exhibits to Ventura. Vita Art Center is a place for the community to gather and engage in the arts. With a contemporary art gallery, art classes for all ages, monthly events and a full ceramic studio there's plenty of ways to be involved. At the core of every Vita Art Center exhibit is our commitment to bring museum quality contemporary art to Ventura. Past exhibitions have included the art of locally and internationally acclaimed artists . Past exhibits have included the work of David Hockney, John Nava as well as the historically important art of Fransisco Goya to name a few.


Whether you are looking for a creative outlet or are a working artist, Vita Art Center has classes for all levels of experience and ages. We provide high-quality enrichment experiences in the visual arts for children, teens, and adults. Professional artists and instructors teach classes in a wide variety of media and subject-matter, with plenty of classes to choose from. To ensure personalized instruction, we limit enrollment to 10-15 students per course.


We are committed to supporting our local schools by providing arts programs to K-12 students. Our Schools visual arts programs integrate visual arts with core CA education standards to help children succeed in school.


The Vita Art Center offers professional development programs for educators seeking to increase their knowledge of the arts, and to improve their skills so they can provide quality arts education for students.


Over 2,000 students are served thru classes at Vita Art Center, Ventura schools and onsite after school programs. We are committed to serving all of our community. Families with financial needs receive free or reduced tuition to Summer programs, Teen art programs, and after school classes.
