San Buenaventura Housing Authority, Summer Art Party

This short video captures our annual Summer Art Party, held at the Westview Village Housing Community, a site of our year-round youth programming in partnership with the Housing Authority of the City of San Buenaventura. The event is a celebration of the creative work done throughout the school year in our weekly after-school art classes for youth and the Teen Art Club. Families, friends, and neighbors were invited to participate in hands-on art activities for all ages. This gathering also serves to connect the broader community to the value of accessible arts education. We partnered with CityKidz, who generously provided a free BBQ dinner and distributed groceries for families to take home—creating a welcoming and supportive environment for all attendees. This video offers a glimpse into the energy, pride, and connection that define our work with youth and families across Ventura’s housing communities.
