MORE INFO
Raise a glass and step into the bold, boundary-pushing world of Yayoi Kusama at our Art History Happy Hour, taking place in March in celebration of Women’s History Month. Led by Claudia Pardo, this lively evening will explore Kusama’s life and legacy—from her iconic polka dots and immersive installations to the powerful ideas and personal experiences that shape her artistic process. Enjoy complimentary wine, connect with fellow art lovers, and join in fun, interactive activities inspired by Kusama’s playful (and deeply meaningful) visual language. Polka dots are encouraged, so come dressed to match the mood and get ready for an artful night out!
Claudia studied Art and Art History at California State University, Northridge, earning both her BA and MA. Claudia has taught at Oxnard College, CSU Channel Islands, and now Ventura College, where she teaches Drawing & Composition and Color & Design. Teaching has always come naturally to her; she enjoys helping her students slow down, observe details, and find joy in the creative process.
